SpaceX launches first Starlink direct-to-cell satellites

SpaceX's first 2024 mission was successful, deploying 21 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit using a Falcon 9 rocket. This launch included six satellites with Direct to Cell capabilities that allow global access to texting, calling, and browsing on mobile networks without changing hardware or firmware. This new feature offers seamless connectivity for users on land, lakes, or coastal waters.
