Spain blocks Kalshi, Polymarket over lack of gambling licences

Spain's consumer rights ministry has temporarily blocked prediction market platforms Kalshi and Polymarket for a lack of a gambling licences. The ministry said it has opened an investigation into the firms for allegedly breaching local laws and lacking technical and regulatory safeguards. The ban will last for about three or four months until the investigation is completed, the ministry said.
