Spain's FIFA World Cup 2026 winner Marcos Llorente announced his retirement from international football at the age of 31 on Thursday. The Atletico Madrid defender, who earned 27 caps for Spain, made his international debut in 2020. "It's a personal decision- one I've thought through very carefully and, above all, one that comes from the heart," he wrote on Instagram.
