Spain’s Oyarzabal 1st player to go 30 minutes without touching ball in FIFA WC match since 1966

Spain forward Mikel Oyarzabal registered an unwanted FIFA World Cup record during Spain’s 0-0 draw against debutants Cape Verde. Oyarzabal became the first player on record since 1966 to play the first 30 minutes of a World Cup match without touching the ball. Spain failed to score a goal in the match despite completing 755 passes.
