Spanish PM adds maple leaf to EU flag as bloc offers Canada to join as associate member

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez added a maple leaf to the European Union flag as the bloc offered Canada to join as its first associate member. This comes even as US President Donald Trump threatened to take action against the EU if it moves forward with the proposal. Canada PM Mark Carney welcomed the proposal.
