Speaker defends Tony Blair's knighthood, says it's the 'right thing to do'

Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle has defended ex-PM Tony Blair's knighthood, saying it was "respectful" and the "right thing to do". All former PMs should be offered knighthood as it's "one of the toughest jobs in the world", he added. Blair's knighthood is facing criticism for the legacy of his decision to join the 2003 US-led Iraq invasion among others.
