Speeding saves 54 seconds per day but uses fuel 3% faster: Study
A study published in Communications Sustainability found that speeding reduces travel time by only 54 seconds in a day and increases fuel consumption by 3% as compared to driving within the speed limit. The study analysed 120 million car trips and found that driving within the speed limit in vehicles could cut carbon dioxide emissions by 57,000 metric tons daily.
