Sports Ministry initiates process to form new national federation for yogasana

The Sports Ministry has initiated the process of inviting applications to form a new national federation for yogasana. It has set September 17 as the deadline for eligible bodies to apply. This comes after the Delhi High Court quashed the recognition granted to Yogasana Bharat, which had been recognised as a National Sports Federation (NSF) by the ministry in 2020.
