Sri Lanka hikes petrol prices by 25%, 2nd increase in 2 weeks, as it reels under oil crisis
Sri Lanka has hiked fuel prices by 25% as the country reeled under the oil crisis triggered by the Middle East war. Regular petrol prices jumped to LKR 398/litre (₹119.69) while diesel prices rose to LKR 382/litre (₹114.88). This marks the second fuel price hike in two weeks in Sri Lanka, as the government hiked it by 8% last week.
