Sri Lanka record their lowest powerplay total in T20 World Cup history

Sri Lanka on Wednesday recorded their lowest powerplay total in T20 World Cup history after being restricted to 20/2 in the first six overs against New Zealand. It is also Sri Lanka's second-lowest powerplay total in T20I cricket. Sri Lanka's previous lowest powerplay total (24/4) in T20 World Cups also came against New Zealand in 2022.
