Sri Lanka today suffered their worst defeat on home soil in Test cricket. Sri Lanka lost to Pakistan by an innings and 222 runs in Colombo. Pakistan's Abdullah Shafique won Player of the Match award for his 201. Sri Lanka's previous worst home defeat came in September 1993, when they lost by an innings and 208 runs to South Africa.
