Sri Lanka to deploy soldiers to manage traffic in its capital

Sri Lanka will deploy soldiers to help manage traffic in Colombo city, its capital, the army said. Around 1 million people enter or leave the city daily, with traffic on average slowing down to below seven kilometres an hour, reports said. Colombo doesn't have a mass transit system, forcing commuters to reportedly use private vehicles leading to congestion.
