SriLankan Airlines flight with over 200 passengers onboard hit by lightning

A SriLankan Airlines flight from Colombo to Sydney was forced to return to Bandaranaike International Airport after its first engine was struck by lightning, causing damage to its left engine shortly after takeoff. Officials said the aircraft landed safely at the airport. There were around 207 passengers and 16 crew members on board flight UL 606 during the incident.
