Srinagar's Raghunath Mandir, shut since Kashmiri Pandit exodus, reopens on Ram Navami
Srinagar's Raghunath Mandir, shut after the mass exodus of Kashmir Pandits, reopened after 36 years on Ram Navami, with Kashmiri Pandits from across India attending the ceremony. "Our Muslim neighbours...stood with us these past days," said the temple committee's president Bharat Raina. Built by Maharaja Gulab Singh in the mid-1800s, it's situated on the banks of the Jhelum.
