SRK wanted to quit Kal Ho Naa Ho, wanted Salman for his role

Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani had revealed after shooting a few scenes for 'Kal Ho Naa Ho', Shah Rukh Khan said he wouldn't be able to do the film and suggested that Salman Khan could replace him. "Karan (Johar) and I immediately rejected the idea...(and) postponed the film for 9 months, till he (SRK) could come back and resume shooting," added Advani.
