Stamp duty, fee cut by 2.25% in Punjab till March 31: Minister

Punjab Revenue Minister Bram Shanker Sharma said stamp duty and fee for people registering their properties before March 31 has been reduced by 2.25%. "Those opting for registration of land will now be exempted from 1% additional stamp duty, 1% PIDB fees and 0.25% special fees," Sharma said. Registries have gotten Punjab 40% more revenue in February 2023, he added.
