Stampede at Lairai Devi temple in Goa kills 6, dozens injured

At least six people were killed and over 50 others were injured in a stampede at the Lairai Devi temple in Goa on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday, multiple reports said. The incident took place during the Lairai Devi jatra (procession) in Goa's Shirgao. CM Pramod Sawant visited North Goa District Hospital to take stock of the situation.
