Stardust Solutions plans to release sun-reflecting particles to cool Earth

Israel-US startup Stardust Solutions is planning to release sun-reflective particles in the atmosphere to cool the Earth by dimming sunlight. The concept, known as solar geoengineering or stratospheric aerosol injection, mimics the cooling effects of volcanic eruptions but has drawn criticism from scientists. The startup had raised $60 million in October 2025 to develop the technology.
