Startup open-sources 1,274 hrs of robot-training videos before shutting down

US-based startup Eidon AI has shut down after releasing 1,274 hours of videos of everyday tasks for training robots. The company used a wearable rig it built featuring a head-mounted camera and a seven-point motion-tracking harness to record 13,451 recordings of people doing household tasks like laundry, cleaning, dishes and cooking. The firm has released the data on Hugging Face.
