State must ensure proper governance of districts & villages: SC

The Supreme Court emphasized that the State must carry out its role as an administrator and ensure proper governance of its districts and villages. An Appeal was filed against the Judgment of Gauhati High Court, affirming the Single Judge’s Judgment which directed the State authorities to take steps for the issuance of formal orders for the recognition of Kakiho Village.
