A statue of Tombili, a cat from Istanbul who became famous after a picture of him reclining on the pavement surfaced online, was unveiled on Tuesday on World Animal Day. Tombili, who died in August, was known for his indifferent behaviour towards those who wanted to play with him. A petition for his statue was signed by over 17,000 people.
