'Steel Man of India' Jamshed J Irani passes away aged 86

Dr Jamshed J Irani, widely known as the 'Steel Man of India', passed away at the age of 86 in Jamshedpur late Monday night, Tata Steel confirmed. Irani joined Tata Steel in 1968 and retired after spending 43 years at the company in 2011. The Padma Bhushan awardee served as the Managing Director of Tata Steel from 1992 to 2001.
