Stephen Hawking warns against responding to aliens

British physicist Stephen Hawking in an online film, 'Stephen Hawking's Favorite Places' has warned against responding to aliens who might send a signal to Earth. Contact with other civilisations could be similar to when Native Americans first encountered Christopher Columbus which "didn't turn out so well", he said in the documentary which explores significant locations across the universe.
