Stipend to 47 lakh youths through apprenticeship scheme announced by govt

During Budget 2023 speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said government will provide stipend to 47 lakh youths in three years, a Direct Benefit Transfer under a pan India national apprenticeship scheme. She also said the Unified Skill India Digital platform will enable demand-based formal skilling, linking with employers (including MSMEs) and facilitating access to entrepreneurial schemes.
