Stoinis replaces Maxwell as Melbourne Stars' new captain

Big Bash League (BBL) franchise Melbourne Stars have named Marcus Stoinis as their new skipper ahead of the 2024-25 season. The all-rounder replaces fellow all-rounder Glenn Maxwell as the skipper after the latter resigned from his post at the end of last season. Under Maxwell's captaincy, Stars reached two finals of BBL.
