Stokes had 7 vodka drinks, 3 beers before brawl, court told

During his trial for affray, England all-rounder Ben Stokes admitted to the jury that he consumed seven vodka drinks and two-three pints of beer before the brawl outside a pub in September 2017. Stokes said he "stepped in" to defend two gay men who were suffering "homophobic abuse" from two other men but denied he had been "drunk" or "aggressive".
