Stop eating 3 hours before bed to improve heart health, suggests study

Stopping food three hours before bed and slightly extending the overnight fast improved blood pressure, heart rhythms and blood sugar control in adults at risk of cardiometabolic disease, Northwestern Medicine researchers said. In the 7.5-week study, participants who ate earlier showed a 3.5% nighttime blood pressure dip and a 5% heart rate dip compared with those keeping usual routines.
