Stop workers’ exploitation: DC to contractors after protest at Indian Oil refinery

After violent face-off between protesting workers and security forces at a Panipat refinery, Deputy Commissioner Virender Dahiya chaired a meeting at the facility. He said there should be no discrimination against workers and contractors must “stop exploiting” them. He said overtime must be paid for work beyond eight hours and demands related to washrooms and drinking water must be addressed.
