A study raised concerns over the use of weight-loss and diabetes drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy and Mounjaro. It warned that even temporary discontinuation could increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, and death. Researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine found that patients who stopped these GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs saw a sharp reversal of cardiovascular benefits.
