Stories of courage of the National Bravery Award winners

Eight-year-old Tarh Peeju, a National Bravery Award winner from Arunachal Pradesh, had sacrificed her life while saving two of her friends from drowning. Another awardee, Sumit Mamgain (15) from Uttarakhand, displayed courage to fight a leopard to save his cousin. Two others, Tejasweeta Pradhan (18) and Shivani Gond (17) had helped in busting an international sex racket in West Bengal.
