Storm clouds cover more than 70% of India, show satellite image

More than 70% of India is currently covered by storm clouds, showed satellite images. Cloud-top temperatures over the Bay of Bengal, Odisha, and West Bengal have dropped to around -80°C, signalling colder storm towers up to 16 km high into the atmosphere. IMD has forecast active monsoon conditions continuing over northwest and northeast India for 4-5 more days.
