5 killed as 7.8-magnitude earthquake hits Turkey, pics show collapsed buildings

At least five people were killed as a "damaging" 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkey near the Syrian border, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said on Monday. The quake struck at around 4 am local time, it said. Images of buildings that collapsed from the earthquake have surfaced online. Turkish authorities have not confirmed any casualties or injuries yet.
