Student hit on head by 3 kg hammer during sports meet

A 17-year-old school student was critically injured after a 3 kg hammer hit his head during hammer throw event at the Kerala State Junior Athletics Championship. Abheel Johnson was reportedly a volunteer at the sports meet. He has been admitted to ICU of Kottayam Medical College and underwent surgery on Friday, but according to hospital officials, his condition remains critical.
