Student paralyzed in bus crash awarded ₹2.60 crore

A 24-year-old student, Gourinanda, who was paralyzed below the waist after a 2023 bus crash in Tamil Nadu, has been awarded ₹2.60 crore compensation by the Alappuzha Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal. The tribunal directed the Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation to pay the amount after the crash left four people dead and around 16 others injured.
