Students protest after Panjab University PhD scholar electrocuted on campus

Students of Chandigarh's Panjab University staged a protest over the death of a 26-year-old PhD scholar, Jyoti, who died after allegedly being electrocuted on a waterlogged road on campus. Students accused the university administration of negligence and said similar incidents occurred in the past on the campus. A heavy police force was deployed as students confronted the university authorities.
