Study disputes report on Tesla Autopilot cutting crashes by 40%

Data analysis company Quality Control System's study disputed a 2017 US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report claiming Tesla's vehicle crash rate dropped by 40% after Autopilot systems' Autosteer installation. The study found that in 5,714 cases with complete before and after Autosteer installation data, crash rates increased by 59%. NHTSA said it was reviewing the report.
