Study reveals why big dogs age faster than smaller ones
A study by Arizona State University researchers revealed why large dogs age faster than smaller dogs. Researchers analysed the DNA of 864 dogs and found that larger breeds lose DNA-regulating marks faster, allowing "jumping genes" to become more active and potentially damage DNA. The findings could provide insight into human ageing too, researchers said.
