Study suggests star may have engulfed its own planets

A study of binary star system HD 81809 suggested that one of its stars, HD 81809B, may've engulfed its metal-rich planets or planetary materials, altering its surface chemistry. In binary systems, both stars usually have same age and chemical composition. However, primary star HD 81809A has depleted its hydrogen fuel and the two stars differ in lithium and iron content.
