Studying chess 10 hours a day is nonsense, it's outdated: Nakamura
American Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura said studying chess for 10 hours a day is "nonsense", calling the idea "outdated". He argued that someone who spends four hours a day, if they are focusing on the right things, can be far "more efficient". "Also, this notion that you have to spend your entire life on chess is outdated," Nakamura further stated.
