Amitabh Bachchan, while condoling veteran actress Reema Lagoo's demise, tweeted, "Just heard the shocking and unbelievable news about Reema Lagoo's passing...such a fine talent and gone so young ! Very SAD." Rishi Kapoor wrote, "RIP...Worked in quite a few films. Good friend. Heartfelt condolences." Lagoo passed away at the age of 59 on May 18, after suffering a cardiac arrest.
