Sugreeva becomes heaviest elephant in Mysuru Dasara squad

Sugreeva, weighing 5,850 kg, has emerged as the heaviest elephant in the 2026 Mysuru Dasara squad, surpassing Srikanta by 60 kg. The 44-year-old elephant arrived in Mysuru as part of the second batch of three elephants. Chaitra and Roopa also joined the squad, taking the total number of elephants participating in this year’s Dasara preparations to 12.
