Suitcase-sized satellite proposed to search for signals from 13.5 billion years ago
British scientists have proposed a suitcase-sized spacecraft called CosmoCube to study the universe before the first stars formed. It'd orbit Moon and use its far side to block radio interference from Earth while searching for signals emitted by neutral hydrogen over 13.5 billion years ago. The data could reveal conditions during universe's dark ages and offer clues about dark matter.
