Sukesh writes to Finance Minister, offers to pay ₹7,640-cr tax

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar wrote a letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman requesting permission to declare his overseas income for fiscal year 2024-2025. Sukesh said his overseas businesses generated turnover of $2.7 billion in 2024 and showed his willingness to pay Indian taxes on the overseas income, amounting to ₹7,640 crores. He proposed to invest this income in India's tech sector.
