Sukhbir Singh Badal resigns as Shiromani Akali Dal President

Sukhbir Singh Badal stepped down as the President of the Shiromani Akali Dal on Saturday, party leader Daljit Singh Cheema said. Taking to X, Cheema said that Badal submitted his resignation to the party's working committee "to pave the way for the election of a new President".
