Sukhoi fighter jet goes off radar contact in Assam, IAF launches search op

The Indian Air Force announced that a Sukhoi Su-30 MKI fighter jet is reported "overdue", which means that the plane has gone off radar contact in Assam. IAF said that the jet had taken off from Assam's Jorhat and was last in contact at 7:42 pm. "Further details are being ascertained. Search and rescue mission has been initiated," IAF added.
