The Sun emitted a strong solar flare on Sunday, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said, sharing a picture on X (formerly Twitter). NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured an image of the event, which was classified as X5.0. X-class denotes the most intense flares, NASA stated.
