Sun Group buy 100% stake in Northern Superchargers for ₹1,092 cr

Sun Group, owners of the IPL franchise SunRisers Hyderabad, have acquired a 100% stake in The Hundred franchise Northern Superchargers for over £100 million (over ₹1,092 crore). With this acquisition, the Superchargers become the third T20 franchise in the Sun Group's portfolio, joining SunRisers Hyderabad and Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SA20). The company is led by Indian media baron Kalanithi Maran.
