Sun Pharma's $9.4 billion Organon acquisition gets shareholder nod

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries said Organon shareholders have approved its proposed acquisition of the US-based drugmaker, moving the deal closer to completion. The transaction, valued at about $9.4 billion including debt, remains subject to regulatory and other customary approvals. Announced nearly three months ago, it would be the biggest acquisition in Sun Pharma's history if completed.
