Sun TV fined ₹2.5L for vulgar rape scene in serial, told to air apology

Tamil language television channel Sun TV has been ordered to pay a fine of ₹2.5 lakh by the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) for vulgar and obscene rape and revenge sequence in the serial 'Kalyana Veedu'. The channel has also been asked to air an apology before playing the episodes for six consecutive days from September 23 to 28.
