Sunil Bharti Mittal to step down as Airtel Payments Bank Chairman

Airtel Payments Bank Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal will step down from the board on September 30, 2026. Independent Director Shabnam Sinha will become Chairperson for a three-year term from October 1, after RBI approval. Sinha has earlier worked with the World Bank, advising governments and organisations on governance, risk management and operations.
